Assorted Bits & Pieces: Men On A Mission Meme
The awesome exploitation and general movie madness of Aaron, the owner of The Death Rattle, tagged me with coming up with a meme theme. I decided to go with various 'Men On A Mission' images. Not all of these are caps from films, though. I thought I'd mix it up a bit with some artwork, or images from magazines and DVD covers. Some of those capture the theme better than a screen cap, I think. Below the images are five bloggers tagged for a covert mission to find a meme, capture it and expose them for everyone to see.
I've left out some obvious choices, but figured I'd throw in titles some people might not have heard of. Whether they're attempting to get inside an impregnable fortress, retrieve a stash of stolen gold, rescuing a captive, or capturing a brutal warlord, all these guys have one thing in common--they're expendable! In order of year of production, these are....

Nice one, Pedro. A shame I can't read it!
Im still trying to grasp the idea of the MEME thing...what does the word itself stand for? But I guess its all about posting pics on some theme from films...which is an interesting idea.
I need to do one, Neil over at the Agitation of the Mind tagged me with the task...so I guess Ill be posting one tomorrow!
Nice one you got here, I saw The Deadly Duo, excellent kung fu movie.
I wasn't real sure what it was either, Francisco. I gathered as much from looking at other peoples meme's when I got tagged with one.
DEADLY DUO is pretty damn good. Not one of Cheh's best, imo, but lots of action and gore. I recently bought the Blu Ray for it.
Meh. I could totally take any and all these guys with one hand tied behind my back.
;)
Dude, then you are the epitome of bad assedness! Wow, what a damn good popcorn movie that would be!
Astro as the Iowa Terminator cutting a swath through the likes of Charles Bronson, McQueen, The Venoms, Jim Brown, Van Cleef, Chuck Norris and Stallone's stable of mercenaries!! In 3D!!!
...AND in IMAX!!! Extreeeeeme!!!
Always happy to see some Warriors action in there! I thought we might get a little bit of that Full Metal Jacket awesomeness but great picks nontheless V!
Honestly, I didn't even think about FULL METAL JACKET, Carl. I probably wouldn't have used it, anyway. I mainly wanted to feature some stuff that doesn't get a lot of mention outside of the spaghetti western and kung fu crowd.
