Apparently, Lucky (MAY) McKee's new film, THE WOMAN, written by the talented and provocative sleaze peddler, Jack Ketchum, has caused quite the stir during its Sundance Festival premiere. A few websites and forums have already posted this video and it's quite funny. It looks legit enough, but could be a PR stunt. Either way, this obviously upset moviegoer will no doubt contribute to the notoriety of this film that should be "confiscated and burned". If you haven't already seen it, you can see the youtube video here...

THE WOMAN (2011)
The outraged viewer gets even more frustrated when you here the roar of claps and laughter from audience members seemingly enjoying the show. The upset patron then begins lobbing insulting comments to the Sundance worker trying to get him and his folks to exit peacefully. Apparently, they weren't aware of what kind of film they were getting into.

The film deals with a lawyer capturing the cannibalistic matriarch of the clan of savages wiped out during the closing moments of the average, but disturbing flick, OFFSPRING (2009). In an effort to civilize this wild woman, the determined lawyer puts his own family in serious danger. I'm actually quite curious to see what the fuss is about, myself. Ketchum's previously adapted 'book to film' was inferior to the other movies based on his novels, but it had some ghoulish shocks and surprises that made it worthwhile (including 'The Woman'), if not up to the gruelingly high horror standards of THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, THE LOST and RED before it.
